PCGH, Inc. built Orchard Apartments in 2004/2005 and it opened in March 2005. It was developed with a HUD 202 loan with site-based Section 8 funding. Start-up funding was secured via a State grant.
The facility is a 10-unit apartment complex, which serves individuals at least 62 years old. One unit is reserved for an on-site staff that assists the residents in the nine other units
The facility also has a common sitting area, kitchen, laundry room, and meeting room for the residents to utilize. The facility provides monthly recreational opportunities (i.e. birthday parties, barbeques, movie nights, game nights, etc.) for its residents. The current manager reports the residents have quickly become a close-knit family.
